| Regarding our Open
House, we are wanting to transform it more and more into a meeting spot for
people who live solitary lives, for those who are in search of a place where
they can get in touch with "op verhaal". Therefore, we need volunteers
who can work as our hosts / hostesses, which include: • warmly receiving our guests. • putting others at ease and being good listeners. • available to play games with our visitors. • putting oneself aside to concentrate on the others, our guests. The Open House is run in such a way that we also need volunteers to: • set the tables • be responsible for the preparation of a simple lunch. • clean and washing dishes • assist with particular activities By volunteering in our 'Grijs Genoegen' program, which coexists with our Open House project, volunteers can help out by visiting homes of those who need of our help. For our 'Together at the Table' project, we need volunteers for: • setting tables • servicing • washing dishes • assisting people who have trouble eating by themselves For our Clothing Shop, we need volunteers to help us: • classify and separate the incoming clothing • hang up selected clothing in the Clothing Shop • keeping the shop in order & helping clients in the sho • with the shop's Coffee-Corner We could also use volunteers to help with the maintenance, care and furnishing of the Corps Building. These volunteers would help us with: • the weekly cleaning day • being responsible for other small maintenance duties • the maintenance of the Corps Building facilities If you would like to submit a volunteer application, please use the form that's available on this site.
