Dear Site Visitor,

My name is Richard W.E. de Vree.

Since July 14th, 2005, I've been in charge of heading the ecclesiastical municipality of the Salvation Army Chapter in Hilversum.  I enjoy working and living with my family here in Hilversum.

We would like to keep you up-to-date via our website regarding the numerous activities which the Salvation Army in Hilversum organizes.

Our aim is to reach as many people as possible through all of our activities collectively.  There are both ecclesiastical and socially related activities offered which are all established to bring people together.  We show our inspiration thereby through the cheerful message of Jesus Christ, through which God shows us His love in a special and unmatched manner.

I wholeheartedly hope, that you will take the time to browse through our website and discover what the Salvation Army can mean to you.

I would also like to straighten out a common misconception. I hear on a regular basis a re-occurring theme which is: People should, for the most part, consider turning to the Salvation Army if they are having serious issues, have no money, no food or no shelter.  The Salvation Army will always be there for this group of people and will give their all: heart and hand to the needy.  But it doesn't stop there.  The Salvation Army is a meeting place for everyone: Young and Old. Rich and Poor. Foreign and Nationals.

So please keep in mind: Everyone is Welcome!

Therefore, feel free to visit our Open House at your own leisure (Open Mondays - Thursdays).
We will gratefully inform you there further.

I would like to graciously extend a special invitation to attend our weekly Church Services, which is accessible and welcome to everyone.  Our Services begin at 10:15 am and are characteristically known for their practical Bible reflections and communal singing.  Everyone - Old and Young (there is a separate Children's program and Babysitters for the little ones) - is welcome to join our Services to discover together how God loves us all.

I look forward to meeting you in our splendid Corps building during the week or on Sunday morning.

Sincerely,

R.W.E. de Vree (Captain)
