In addition to most of the other Salvation Armies throughout the Netherlands, the chapter in Hilversum has a Second-hand clothing store as well.  We sell quality clothing that were donated to us at reasonable prices in this shop.  There are clothing collections held once a year, sometimes more depending on which municipality the Salvation Army is located in.

This collected clothing is brought to a central collection point where they are sorted out.  A part of the collection is used solely for assisting those in need.  The department of destination goods (a division of the Salvation Army whose primary goal is to relocate older items to a new location) is responsible for sending the remaining part of the collection to various Chapter Clothing Shops.  Finally these shops sell the clothes to the public.  The extra unneeded clothing is then sent to recycling companies.

The turnover from this collection greatly helps unsubsudized projects throughout the Netherlands and in foreign countries as well.
