Open House is our
most sought out activity if
you are interested in meeting others.
The Open House was originally designed as a way to allow residents to all
come together in order to meet each other in one warm and charming central
location.
Initially it was intended for 55+ers who could comfortably consider it to be
their home away from home.
After the first half year, it proved to be a very busy spot indeed, showing
in addition a lack of any real age limit. It's indisputable that the
majority of the crowd are elderly, but younger guests show up from time to
time. It is also evident that not all of our guests live nearby.
Many, in fact, including our "regulars" travel here from surrounding areas
to be able to participate in our Open House gatherings.
Therefore, there's evidence that nearly everyone can take advantage of this
opportunity to be a part of our Open House. Of course everyone must
stick to a few simple and obvious behavioral rules.
Open House is not geared to receive homeless people. There is actually
a special day-relief team that handles the homeless: 'The Gestation to the
Speedway'. We have an agreement with this organization stating that we
will refer any homeless individuals to them, sometimes after they have
drinken a cup of coffie with us.
With the falling of Autumn's first leaves, the Open House will be associated
with a few other activities so that visitors may find it more appealing to
stick around. For our visiting hours, we refer you to our Activities
page. In the News section, you will find up-to-date information on
additional Open House activities and when they are held. |
